Payment Link
Collect funds securely online. Generate shareable payment links, send them via SMS, WhatsApp, or email, and let your customers pay without ever leaving the link — with full AFT classification and 3DS2 protection on every transaction.
Not every transaction begins at a checkout page or a terminal. Money transfer operators collecting from a remote sender, fintechs funding wallets out-of-band, billing teams chasing an invoice — all need a way to collect funds online that’s as simple as sending a URL and as compliant as a card-present transaction. Inyo Payment Link is that surface.
It’s an API call to create the link, a delivery channel of your choice to send it (SMS, WhatsApp, email, or your own app), and Inyo’s full payment stack behind the click — AFT classification, 3D Secure 2, sender data capture, and compliance handling, all without you building the front end.
Generate, send, collect — in three calls
One POST creates the link with the amount, an order ID, optional sender requirements, and an expiry. Inyo returns the URL; you send it however you want — SMS, WhatsApp, email, or embedded in your own app or message. The customer taps the link, completes the payment on a hosted, mobile-optimized page, and a webhook fires back the moment the transaction settles.
AFT-native, not a generic checkout
If your business is funding wallets, loading prepaid cards, or collecting for a money transfer, the transaction has to be classified as an Account Funding Transaction (AFT) per the Visa AFT mandate. Payment Link applies the correct AFT indicator, MCC, and sender data on every applicable link — automatically — so card-not-present collection is compliant by design, not by manual configuration.
3D Secure 2 and authorization optimization
Every link is protected by 3D Secure 2 with full data enrichment, so frictionless authentication is maximized and challenges are invoked only where they earn their keep. Combined with the orchestration layer behind the link — smart retries, network tokenization, dynamic descriptor optimization — you get the highest possible approval rates on a rail that historically has had the lowest. See the 3DS2 guide for the mechanics.
Compliance and KYC, on the same record
When sender data is required (corridor, amount, or regulatory regime), the link can collect it directly from the customer as part of the payment flow — routed through Inyo360 for verification and Inyo Compliance for monitoring and sanctions screening. The same identity record and audit trail extend across card, terminal, and payment-link flows.
Built for the channels your customers actually use
SMS and WhatsApp aren’t afterthoughts — for many money-movement businesses, they’re the primary collection channel. Payment Link is designed for delivery over messaging: short URLs, mobile-optimized payment page, and the option to pre-fill sender data the customer already provided to your platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Inyo Payment Link?
Inyo Payment Link is an API-first product for generating secure, shareable payment URLs that your customers can use to pay online. It is AFT-native, 3DS2-protected, and composes with the rest of the Inyo platform (Gateway, Inyo360, Compliance).
How is the link delivered to my customer?
You decide. The API returns a URL; you send it via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or embed it in your own app or messaging surface. Inyo does not lock you into a specific channel.
Why does AFT classification matter for payment links?
If you are collecting funds to fund a wallet, load a prepaid card, or initiate a money transfer, the Visa AFT mandate requires the transaction to be classified as an AFT — with the correct indicator, MCC, and sender data. Payment Link applies all of that automatically on every applicable link.
Is the link protected by 3D Secure 2?
Yes. Every payment-link transaction runs through 3DS2 with full data enrichment to maximize frictionless authentication, with challenges invoked selectively based on risk.
Can the link collect sender data?
Yes. When the corridor or regulatory regime requires sender data, the link can collect it directly from the customer during the payment flow and route it through Inyo360 for verification and Inyo Compliance for screening.
How long is a payment link valid?
Expiry is configurable per-link via the API. Links can be one-time-use or reusable, time-bounded or persistent, depending on your flow.
